Want to join in on the fun of the upcoming Fortnite Fracture event? It’s a great opportunity for players to take part in an exciting virtual event. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch and participate in this extraordinary event.
Fracture is a new global gaming competition taking place from April 8th-11th, 2021. Players can compete against each other online or at physical locations across the world for their share of $4 million USD worth of prizes. To join in on the action, players must first buy fortnite account and join the official tournament lobby.
1: Understanding the rules
Before you get started, it’s important to understand how the tournament works. Each match consists of two teams of four players battling it out with different weapons over two rounds. In each round, teams must complete objectives, trying to eliminate the opposing team as quickly as possible. Bonus points are also awarded if a team completes objectives within a set time or eliminates all opponents without any losses. At the end of each round, the score is tallied and the player with the most points wins the match. Each player has three lives per match, so make sure your team plays strategically!
2: Joining the tournament lobby
To join the tournament lobby, players must first purchase a Fortnite account from Battle Pass owners before signing up for matches via either console or PC clients. Once logged in, players must then choose which region they wish to compete in – North America East/West, Europe West/East/North, Brazil South, APAC, Middle East & Africa, or Asia & Oceania. After selecting a region and registering with Epic Games, players will be assigned a group ID number that will allow them to access their specific tournament area. Here they will be able to find matches, chat with other players and view leaderboards.
3: Playing Matches
Once registered in a tournament lobby, players can begin playing matches against others based on skill level. There are five game modes available during the event: Solo, Duo, Trio (3v3) and Squads (4v4). Each player will need to have their own device set up correctly with the correct latency settings enabled for optimal performance during gameplay. During matches, competing teams use different weapons to battle each other until one team takes control of all objectives or eliminates all enemies without any losses. Points are accumulated throughout each round based on kills, assists and objective completions – the team with the most points at the end wins the match!
4: Winning Prizes
Players who win enough matches will progress through tiers to the Grand Finals, where the best players will compete for a share of the $4 million prize pool. Participants can also earn exclusive rewards such as weapon skins, emotes, back blings and Victory Royales along the way!
5: Enjoy spectator mode
If you’re more of a spectator than a player, don’t worry! All fans tuning into Twitch can do so via the Spectator Mode available in the game client itself! Viewers can check stats such as health bars or use filters such as distance, viewing angle etc. as they cheer on their favourite teams from around the world! With so much content being streamed live, viewers won’t miss a moment of action during this epic event!
